Since we are not able to handle reservations for conference
participants directly, we have arranged a booking service
for you with the Munich Tourist Office. Until August
10, enough hotel rooms in all categories have been reserved.
Simply fill the attached form (Rich
Text /
), and the agency will reserve a room for you in the
desired category. All hotels will be conveniently located
to reach the conference (by public transportation, we
will also provide a shuttle service). However, it is
not possible to book a particular hotel.
(b)
With internet booking and yield management, often direct
booking offers the best price-value option. The leading
hotel reservation system with (from my experience also
best prices) is http://www.hrs.de
(select your language). There is no fee and in most
cases not even a credit card is required.

Hotel Tips: The following hotels are very well located
in the north of the center, directly at the subway U6
(station "Nordfriedhof"; 8 min to Marienplatz,
the most central place in Munich, and 12 min to Garching
station). Also, the Airport Bus stops within 100 meters
walking distance of these hotels. Call or check their
web sites for direct booking, and check alternatively
at www.hrs.de

Important:
The conference starts when another big event in Munich
ends: the world famous October Fest. If you want to
get this experience, plan to come already for the weekend
before (Oct 4-5). Expect higher Hotel prices during
this weekend and reserve rooms ASAP (the reserved hotel
rooms from option (a) are only for the conference period,
but not for the weekend before the conference). More
